Welcome aboard Sailing Boy

Sailing Boy is a sailing blog about living and travelling aboard a Lagoon 42 catamaran. New cruising stories, photos and impressions of anchorages, harbours and passages are published here regularly. The blog grows with every adventure: as soon as a new story is ready, you will find it on the homepage and in the overview of all adventures. Drop by regularly for a dose of wanderlust, sailing dreams and inspiration for your next sailing trip.

What to expect on the blog

Each post tells the story of a sailing trip or a special place. You will read about how a leg of the journey felt, which anchorages were particularly peaceful and what matters in everyday life aboard. There are plenty of photos too, so you can get a feel for the atmosphere on the water. Use the search and cruising-ground filters in the adventure overview to quickly find the stories that interest you – by place, keyword or cruising ground.

Why a catamaran?

A catamaran has two hulls, making it very stable. In windy conditions, it generally sits more steadily in the water than a monohull, offers plenty of space on deck and in the saloon, and has a shallow draught. This also allows access to shallow bays. The Lagoon 42 is a popular cruising boat for families and small crews looking to combine comfort with good sailing performance.
