About the Lagoon 42

Our home, our adventure boat, our catamaran. Find out why the Lagoon 42 is the perfect choice for our sailing dreams.

The boat

Modern, spacious, sporty

The Lagoon 42 is a catamaran that skilfully combines comfort and performance. With its spacious decks, bright saloon and four cabins, it offers enough room for longer trips with family and friends.

Its shallow draught lets us reach shallow bays and secluded anchorages that are often inaccessible to conventional sailing yachts. This makes it the ideal companion for adventures off the beaten track.

Whether leisurely island-hopping in the Mediterranean or making long passages across the Atlantic, the Lagoon 42 is at home in any cruising ground and gives us the confidence we need for big adventures.

Life aboard

A catamaran offers significantly more space aboard than a monohull yacht of the same length. The saloon and cockpit are on the same level, allowing cooking, dining and relaxing to flow seamlessly into one another. The large foredeck with its trampoline quickly becomes a favourite spot – for sunbathing, reading or watching the stars at night.

Stable and comfortable

With its two hulls, the Lagoon 42 sits steadily in the water and sails with very little heel. Glasses stay on the table, and even guests with little sailing experience soon feel at ease. At anchor, the catamaran swings gently without uncomfortable rolling.

Made for adventure

Twin engines make manoeuvring in harbour easier, and the four cabins, each with its own heads, provide private retreats for the whole crew. This makes the Lagoon 42 our floating home as we explore new cruising grounds.

Underway with Sailing Boy

On this blog, we take you along on our sailing trips. We share stories of anchorages, crossings, everyday life aboard and all the experiences we gather with our catamaran. If you are planning a sailing trip yourself, the “Cruising grounds” section offers descriptions of popular cruising grounds in the Mediterranean and Adriatic, complete with anchorages, charts and suggested itineraries.

New stories appear regularly, so feel free to drop by again and sail along with us in your imagination – from bay to bay, from island to island, and wherever the wind takes us.
